All these three ladies have been heroin of the three famous
slasher movies in the 1960s and onward. All three have similar features in common
as they are young and bold young females which are typically used in a
mainstream horror film. They all have blonde to brownish hair colour a
stereotypical looks that is defenseless. These are the ones however, survive
till the end but are faced with difficulties and brutally violated.
The characters’ role and appearance are very much similar in
a horror genre film, which are vulnerable when threatened by risk in the film. The
clothing is very delicate yet bright in colours which contrast with the problem
each may face throughout the film. They are not revealing which does not present
an attractive pleasure for the ‘male gaze’ but portray their sprit to survive.
